A combination of beads, medallions, feathers, and leather straps form an armband, anklet or choker. This is typically meant as an homage to the culture as a whole and bears no other legitimate meaning. Different tribes did use different bead patterns though and this is something that could be incorporated into the design if you know the particular pattern that you want to use.
